Sales and first impressions

Saturday, September 13th, 2008

The saying that first impressions are lasting impressions, have never been truer in today’s fast paced business world. Today sales presentation methods haven’t change that much from them. Professional company manager’s  set personal issues aside  and look to the value of a product or service much more than they did in the past. Making Presentations: Practice

Monday, July 21st, 2008

Practice makes perfect. That's what people say. Although this doesn't always apply to certain situations, it can definitely help you. Practicing your material while making a poster presentation is a great way to work out all the kinks before you get up in front of an audience.

It is even better if you can practice in front of a few people to get feedback. Their reactions can be a good element to determine if your presentation is making the right impact.

Do it up right. Act in a professional manner and use the correct visual aids when giving a practice presentation. It will help you get used to everything.

Too often guides to becoming a good presenter focus only on what to do and what are good presentation skills and they don’t even mention what bad presentation skills are.

Next, the corporate culture of the big publishing houses often prevents them from taking on too big of a risk, though this is not always the case. But don’t fret, just keep working at it and you’re bound to find a publisher who’ll be good for you.
